This forged metal hanger will work on most flat surfaces, including posts, walls, trees, and fences. It measures 8 inches long. Hanging hardware is included.

The screws that it comes with are a bit short if you are hanging one of the larger winchimes, such as the Baritone, but it's the best I've found so far.
