I was extremely disappointed when I received this product. IT IS NOT WHAT IS PICTURED. The carrier pictured shows a zipper on top which is the main reason I chose to purchase this carrier. I am traveling with my 6 pound Chihuahua for the first time and wanted a carrier with multiple ways to get him in and out quickly as we will be traveling through the airport. It is also not as big as what is pictured. The site states it is 15L x 9W x 9.5H. I measured it at 13L X 9W x 9H. MUCH smaller than what it claims to be. My 6 pound Chihuahua is very cramped inside. I would not recommend this product and I will be returning it. This is FALSE ADVERTISEMENT.

        Cannot use this product - weight limit is listed as 22 lbs. My 18 lb cat (body, excluding head & tail) is too long and tall - Now I'll take all measurements into consideration in carrier selection.

          I ordered the bag for my female imperial Shih Tzu (1 year old) that is about 11 pounds. The bag looks very nice and well-designed (not cheap-looking at all). The over-the-shoulder strap is extremely comfortable (unlike most other carriers). The bag is cushioned inside and has two pockets where I store her treats, wee wee pads, etc. The bag is designed so that your pet can see you from every angle, which my dog really enjoys. My fiance and I use it all the time when we travel with her (i.e. walking, driving, shopping, etc.). She can easily and comfortably turn around and move in the bag (very spacious). Before purchasing a carrier, you should first measure the length of your pet to make sure he/she will fit comfortably. We have had this carrier for about 6 months now, and still love it! It is still in great condition. This bag is a great buy. If anything were to happen to the one I already have, I would most likely order the same one again.

            We own a 4 pound Yorkie and thought this would be a perfect size for her during air travel. Well, based on the description on Sherpa's site we thought this would be good. It states up to a 14 lbs dog. Well, if she was a 14 lbs bowling ball it might work. She can only curl up in it. She can't lay out or easily turn around. We bought the large and waiting to get that to compare. Honestly, if it was just a couple of inches longer they would have a great product for a small dog. I cannot imagine what a small size would look like. Otherwise, it is a very nice carrier.

            Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
