I am going to transport a 2 lb.puppy from California to Connecticut under the seat in the cabin, as well as on other flights. I have experience doing this, and the Argo carrier is much shorter in height, so it should be easier to cram under the seat of some planes. It is prettier than the Samsonite (which is a very good utilitarian bag), and has more structure than the older Sherpa bags. Waterproof pads inside are nice. Red and white ARGO logos not so compatible with overall style. Wish it came with a luggage tag and roll-up privacy screen on one side. I hope it is short enough to get on the smaller connecting flights. I will have to switch out the shoulder strap, as it slides off my shoulder due to the materials used in the shoulder pad. I would really like a temporary "net" compartment on top to include my own in-flight needs including a water bottle, because now one cannot have so many carry-ons. I would not carry on board a dog over 8 lbs. in this bag (or any bag, for that matter) unless first class would accommodate. It is pretty, though! I am happy to make modifications.

I purchased the carrier for a trip I had to take right after I got my puppy. The carrier fit very well under the seat on the airplane. It was a bit long, but that didn't cause any problems. It was very light-weight, which is important when getting through the airport. I also liked the padding in the carrier, it made me feel like my puppy was comfy & cushioned. A little bigger pocket for other things would have been helpful, but not a huge problem. It is extremely durable & I love the look of the carrier. It is a great value & much more durable than some of the designer carriers that are 5 times the cost.

I have gotten numerous comments already about this carrier. It worked extremely well on our flight to Miami and our Maltese loves riding in the carrier while we are driving in the car or out shopping for the day.

We used this to carry our blue crowned conure on an in-cabin flight. It was the only model less than 9 inches in height, which was our airlines specifications. It is an exceptional quality. The fasteners and handles are top quality. There are small zippered pockets on the outside for food and water. Unfortunately, our bird started chewing on the inner mesh during the flight thanks to his sharp beak. I would highly recommend this for small animals air travel or for any travel
