Among other things, Norman O'Donnell is known for his commitment to "doing things right." He honed his appreciation for product quality and customer satisfaction during his career with Michelin® Tires. Upon his retirement as Michelin's plant manager in Greenville, S.C., O'Donnell had more time to enjoy the great outdoors with his beloved hunting dogs. And that got him to thinking.

In the early 1980s, pet owners usually built their own dog houses, tossed in an old blanket, and called it home sweet home. O'Donnell wanted something better for his dogs but found that pet shops didn't sell such products.

So, in 1985, he established O'Donnell Industries to manufacture Snoozer™ Pet Products. His original bed design was the Snoozer Round, with a washable polyester/cotton outer cover, sturdy brass zipper, and removable inner liner. It was available in three sizes and two colors. In its first year, O'Donnell Industries employed two people and achieved sales of $50,000. In 2007, the company employed 30 people with sales topping $4.5 million.

Today, O'Donnell - along with his son Brian and daughter-in-law Paula - offer Snoozer dealers and their customers a profusion of quality pet products.
